Maintaining an adequate supply of clean drinking water is one of the most critical skills you’ll need in the backcountry (or during a Boil Water Advisory in New Orleans). You’ve essentially got three options: boil it, chemically treat it, or filter it. Our preference is usually to filter, and our favorite filters are gravity fed, much like the pitcher in your fridge.
